BLUEMANTLE SHOWS NO SHAME

North West based property development and investment company, Bluemantle has secured a new tenant for its 66,000 sq ft building on Roundthorn Industrial Estate in Wythenshawe. It has agreed a new five year lease with one of the UK’s largest independent film and television production companies, Company Pictures.

Bluemantle acquired the site, formerly known as Lunar, from Henderson last year. The unit, which had stood vacant for more than five years following Umbro’s departure, was renamed ‘Aviator’ and comprises 48,000 sq ft of warehouse space and 18,000 sq ft of office accommodation.

Paul Stewart of Bluemantle commented: “We were delighted to have secured such a high profile tenant, especially so soon after acquiring the building. We had been in talks with Company Pictures for some time and a deal was agreed less than three months after we had completed on the purchase of the building.”

John Griffin, Series Producer of Company Pictures Shameless said: "Bluemantle worked very closely with us and responded incredibly well to our very specific requirements in looking for the type of premises we need for filming. Furthermore, they provided all the discretion and efficiency we needed for a smooth move to our new premises."

Lambert Smith Hampton and Jones Lang LaSalle acted on behalf of Bluemantle.

Company Pictures plans to use the building for the filming hit Channel 4 series Shameless, which has received BAFTA and RTS Awards.
